Our Experience Days, also known as Transition Days, are designed to help you feel confident, prepared and excited about starting at Buckinghamshire College Group.
Taking place in July, these sessions give you a real taste of college life before you begin in September. You’ll meet your tutors, explore your learning spaces and connect with other students on your course.
When Are the Experience Days?
Aylesbury Campus: Wednesday 1st July
Amersham & Wycombe Campuses: Thursday 2nd July
What to Expect on the Day
Your Experience Day is structured to give you a clear and supportive introduction to college.
Morning Session (All Students)
You’ll take part in course-based activities, including:
- Visiting your workshops, studios or classrooms
- Meeting your course tutors
- Getting to know your future classmates
- Taking part in subject taster activities
- Learning what to expect from your course in September
Afternoon Session (If Applicable)
If you have an EHCP (Education, Health & Care Plan) or SEND needs, you’ll also be invited to a support session.
Start time: From 12:00pm
Finish time: By 3:00pm (you can stay as long or as little as you like)
This drop-in session will introduce you to the support available and help ensure you’re fully prepared for a smooth start.
Arrival Times by Subject Area
Start and finish times vary depending on your course. Please arrive at the correct time for your subject area. Morning sessions are expected to finish 3 hours after the arrival time.

As places are limited, confirming your attendance (or letting us know you’re unable to make it) helps us keep your application active and shows your continued interest in the course.
