Nicky Poulter (BTEC ND Football)

Nicky Poulter jetted off to America on a soccer scholarship after spending three years on the Amersham & Wycombe College football development programme. Nicky achieved excellent results both in the classroom and on the football pitch and is continuing his achievements across the Atlantic, playing collegiate soccer at the highest level while studying  a level 4, Business Management degree course.

Nicky was recruited by Iowa Central Community College, athletically known as the Tritons and made an immediate impact, helping them to a winning streak and runner up status in their region. 

Nicky says, “Amersham & Wycombe College gave me the perfect stepping stone to get me where I wanted to go in America.  The college provided the opportunities and I was in the right place at the right time to take advantage of them, otherwise I wouldn’t have realised my dream of studying in the USA.  The coaching was first class and the support both academically and on the pitch was excellent.”
