The course started at just the right level for me.

Caroline Davis (Bookkeeping)

Studying IAB Level 3 Diploma in Advanced BookKeeping and Accounts

While taking time off work for maternity leave, Caroline Davis started to take over responsibility for the paperwork for her partner’s business and realised she needed to know more about the subject to be able to communicate effectively with their accountant.

“I thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of having a few hours spare to learn something new and bookkeeping seemed to complement this skills gap perfectly. I was guided at an Open Day to a suitable course to teach me the basics that fitted in with my complicated home/work/life timetable!”

“I liked the style of learning – it happens to suits the way I learn best – we covered new subjects every week, but still made sure there was time to practice questions and reinforce knowledge. I liked the course materials – we had a student pack that we covered in the lessons and a book (from the IAB) which contains the whole syllabus and has practice questions for each chapter. This meant we knew what we had to cover for the whole course and it also left time at the end for practicing past papers in class. I found it to be very much modular learning. This made it easy to fit in studying while also working, keeping a house and looking after children!”

Amersham & Wycombe College was the Top IAB Centre for Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping at the January 2010 exam sitting.  Additionally, it has been confirmed that Caroline Davis, was the National Top Student for Level 2 Certificate.
