Careers Guidance
The College has its own, on site Careers advisor as well as dedicated careers advisors from Connexions, who work in the College to provide students aged 16-19 with careers advice to complement their studies. Student Enrichment Activities
The College runs a wide variety of enrichment activities for its students ranging from visits to art galleries to trips to Europe and the US, all designed to complement and enhance the learning experience and provide you with a well rounded and solid learning experience.
Financial Support
The College may be able to provide financial support, including childcare support, towards the costs incurred on your course, if you are experiencing financial hardship. Advice, guidelines and application forms for the Access Fund are available from the Enquiries & Admissions department.

Learning and Language Support
The Learner Support Team comprises experienced tutors and specialist staff who aim to provide a confidential and flexible service, which meets your needs. This includes assessing and discussing your needs, and support can be offered:
- when you are applying or thinking about applying for a course
- for students with dyslexia or dyspraxia
- for those with impaired sight or hearing e.g. a note taker
- for those with mobility difficulties or a health care need
- in the form of additional tutorials at a time and place – which can be on a one to one basis if appropriate
- in making arrangements with examination boards for additional time or other special arrangements

All public areas of the Amersham campus are accessible to wheelchair users and disabled access has also been extended at the Chesham and High Wycombe campuses. Special facilities at all campuses include portable hearing loops available for use when required; induction loops fitted to each reception desk (and in the Lecture Theatre and main Theatre at Amersham); and toilets for the disabled.

Keeping you healthy
The College is committed to providing students with opportunities to stay fit and healthy. Campus refectories offer healthy option meals and there is a gym at the Flackwell Heath Campus for students to use.
The use of drink and drugs on campus will not be tolerated on any Amersham & Wycombe College Campus. Any person found under the influence of alcohol, using, possessing or dealing in any illegal substance will be suspended from the College with immediate effect, pending investigation. The College’s disciplinary procedure will be implemented and the police may be informed, resulting in criminal proceedings. A number of wellbeing counselling and support services are available on Campus for students struggling with substance abuse and other personal issues.

Location & Transportation
The College has five campus sites in High Wycombe, Amersham and Chesham. Each campus has good local bus links and the Amersham and Chesham campuses have underground links to central London. The College also provides a mini bus service, free to all current students, to its Amersham & High Wycombe campuses from several locations – see the bus time table on the right of this page for details.
