Sue writes: "I discovered the photographer Guy Bourdin when I was given a copy of his book 'Exhibit A', and was inspired to consider the geometric division of space and the use of minimalist backgrounds.
"After experimenting with symmetric and asymmetric compositions I produced two series of images, one studio based and one on location. This is a form that has continued in my work and one which I will continue to explore."
