Foundation Studies
We offer a wide range of courses aimed at providing students with the skills needed for life and work. These courses are designed to enhance independent living skills, vocational training and functional skills including literacy, numeracy and ICT.
Courses are available at the Amersham, Chesham and High Wycombe campuses.
Vocational and employability programmes include:
Catering and Food Hygiene, Working with Customers, The World of Work, IT and Office Practice, Money and Work Skills, Independence Skills in the Community, Citizenship, Information Technology, Literacy and Numeracy.
Students on work skills course will have the opportunity for practical training through the Bite to Eat Cafe or Red Barrow Enterprise within the College. Work experience can also be arranged following assessment.
Progression
Students are encouraged to progress to the maximum level of independence and activity in the community. They may progress on to other College courses and to open or suppor
