This course is for students who want to explore all areas of fashion and costume from initial design concept through to garment creation.

What will I learn?
The course consists of Fashion and Costume Design, History of Fashion and Costume, Pattern Construction, Garment Construction, Creative Textiles techniques, Printed textiles, Presentation and Portfolio Techniques, Drawing and Fashion Illustration techniques.
If you are aged 16-18 then this course will form part of your Study Programme. The Buckinghamshire College Group Study Programme is called GREAT Ambitions and is focused on preparing you for your future career. As well as studying your chosen course you will gain real work experience and study essential maths, English and digital skills. You will also gain valuable enterprise and business skills through regular group tutorials. Our Study Programme will equip you to achieve your great ambitions.

How will I be assessed?
Practical & written assignments. Written feedback is given throughout.
You will need 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above, one or which must be English or Maths OR have acheived a Merit in Level 2 Art and Design or Fashion, including a pass grade at English and Maths.
Employment or University, with opportunites in Fashion Design, Communication, Marketing and more.

This course is fully funded for students who are 16-18 years of age.
