Whoever you are, whatever level you are at, or even if you haven’t got any qualifications, we’ll get you onto the right course.
We offer courses from Entry Level 1 in independent living that focus on developing essential life skills such as cooking, gardening, shopping and playing an active role in community life.
For students whose long term aim is employment, we offer courses from Entry Level 2 that develop core employability skills such as communication, teamwork and self-organisation. We actively encourage entrepreneurship and on many of our programmes learners will take part in an enterprise activity, such as running a shop or cafe in college.
The new Future Life Centre at the High Wycombe Campus provides a safe and secure learning environment for students with a range of learning, social or communication difficulties or disabilities to progress on their transition to adulthood and work towards their life and learning goals. Work within the Future Life Centre may provide a platform for progression onto a College study programme, in either the Foundation Studies department at pre-entry level, or onto a vocational study programme from Level 1. Students accessing these facilities will have a range of needs and be working at different levels, and we therefore assess each student carefully prior to admission to ensure the correct programme of study is chosen.
To enable us to offer such a wide range of flexible programmes for learners with a range of needs, we work with local schools and organisations such as Bucks County Council, McIntyre and Talkback.
