Who is the course for?

This course provides a detailed look at the Pro Tools system. It covers the key concepts and skills needed to operate Pro Tools.
This course is designed for those with basic Pro Tools skills including:
Audio Engineers
Sound Editors for Flim or Television production

What will this course lead to?

This course provides the foundation for the later 200-series of courses on Pro Tools music and post–production. It is the second stage of Avid's Pro Tools certification program which builds on the skills covered in Pro Tools 101.

Course content includes

Within the Pro Tools 110 you will look at expanded hardware and software configurations, in depth editing and manipulation of MIDI & audio data and the techniques required to work on more complex mix scenarios.

Course Content:
Configuring your studio and session
Controlling Pro Tools using external controllers
Managing session data and media files
Recording MIDI and audio, using loop recording and advanced techniques
Working with time scales and virtual instruments
Working with Avid Elastic Audio
Editing and quantizing MIDI and audio
Use of audio editing and file management techniques
Appling editing techniques such as the use of Beat Detective for Region Looping
Enable, play, view, and edit automation data
Mixing using sends, returns, plug-ins, Master Faders, and groups

Basic computer skills and audio recording knowledge with some Pro Tools familiarity. You will need to have passed the Pro Tools 101 examination in order to enrol on the Pro Tools 110 course.

At the end of this course, you will need to sit an examination.
