National Government Bodies

The National Skills Academy – Creative & Cultural

In 2009 Amersham & Wycombe College became one of just twenty Colleges nationally to be named as a Founder College for Creative and Cultural Skills by the National Skills Academy. This status has been awarded in recognition of the College’s specialist skills in training for creative industries professions from graphic design to technical theatre and more.

The National Skills Academy – Environmental Technologies

In 2011 Amersham & Wycombe College became an accredited training provide by the National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies. We offer environmental technologies training from the highest quality training providers, using the best facilities and equipment. All training carried out via the Skills Academy meets the requirements for MCS approval.

The Pinewood Studios Group is a leading provider of studio and related services to the global film and television industry. The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM)

The College offers CIM qualifications which are amongst the Marketing profession’s most recognised professional development qualifications.

Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT)

AAT is the UK’s leading qualification and membership body for accounting and finance staff. They are sponsored by the professional accountancy bodies CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA and ICAS, and are based in London, UK. The College offers several AAT qualifications and an AAT accountancy apprenticeship.

AVID

Avid creates the innovative digital audio and video technology solutions that people use to make the most listened to, most watched and most loved media in the world. Their technology solutions have earned them hundreds of awards, including 2 Oscar® statuettes, a Grammy®, and 14 Emmys®. The College offers training in the Pro Tools system – the world’s most advanced music and audio creation system.

Bucks New University

The College offers Foundation and BA Honours degrees accredited by Bucks New University.

The University of Westminster

The College offers Teacher Training qualifications accredited by the University of Westminster.

City & Guilds

The City & Guilds Group is the UK’s leading vocational awarding organisation and the College offers several of its qualifications.

BPEC

BPEC is the leading provider of training and certification for the Building Services Engineering sector, which covers the gas, oil, plumbing, electrotechnical, heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration industries. The College offers several BPEC courses.

IAB

The IAB is the leading UK and international professional body for those providing bookkeeping and related accounting services to small businesses. Through its broad range of Ofqual accredited qualifications and its CPD activities, the IAB aims to meet an extensive range of financial skills needs of young people and adults and to provide essential business skills for those starting or developing a small business. The College offers several IAB courses.

The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy

The Peter Jones Enterprise Academy is the UKs first non-profit educational institution dedicated to teaching enterprise and entrepreneurship. PJEA is a pioneer, giving people a head start in their career. PJEA operates from the Amersham campus, offering BTECs in entrepreneurship.

Amersham & Wycombe College is a member of 4cs. The goal of the 4Cs voluntary organisation is to inspire businesses to work in partnership with voluntary and public sector organisations for the benefit of people who work, live and learn in South Buckinghamshire.
