Governors

The College is a Corporation with a board of Governors.   Their role is to oversee the running of the College and to make strategic decisions. The Board of Governors is made up of 12 external members from the local community, the Principal, 2 staff members and 2 student members, one of which is the Student Union President. The full Corporation meets four times a year. Reporting to the board are a number of specialist committees that meet regularly. The minutes from these meetings are available here.

College Staff

Curriculum Teams

College staff meet regularly at all levels in all-staff and staff/student meetings.

Each curriculum area holds regular faculty meetings and representatives from those faculties attend cross college curriculum meetings. Student representatives also join curriculum meetings to represent the their fellow students and involve them in the decision making at the College.

Senior Leadership Team

The Senior Leadership Team, consisting of the College Principal, Vice Principals and Directors meet every week. Strategic decisions are made at this level with recommendations being carried to Governors for final ratification. The Student Union President also regularly attends the Senior Leadership Team meetings.

Learner Voice

A system of Course Representatives has been established across the College allowing students to feed back to their tutors directly in a formal setting. The Student Union also holds regular Student Council meetings. In conjunction with the Director of Student Services, the Student Union organises a regular Student Conference, at which the Senior Leadership Team keeps students updated with the strategic direction of the College, before both SLT members facilitate student focus groups, gather student feedback and incorporate this into strategic decision making at the college. Views and feedback from this meeting are fed back to the Senior Leadership Team for resolution. The President of the Student Union regularly attends the College’s Senior Leadership Team meetings as well as the Board of Corporation meetings to ensure the Learner Voice is heard and acted upon at the highest levels.

Students are highly involved in the design and content of the College’s marketing materials from posters, to prospectuses and this website.
