We’re investing for the future
Amersham & Wycombe College is making a long term investment in the future of further and higher education for the local community with a complete refurbishment of the Flackwell Heath site. The Flackwell Heath campus is and will remain open during the refurbishment process with lessons taking place in the completed sections of the building or at alternative College campuses with transport to and from provided. The College is in talks with corporate sponsors for each curriculum area to strengthen links to industry.
We can all Achieve Wonders
Equality of opportunity and access to learning for everyone is the key mission of Further Education Colleges. Colleges provide many routes to help you achieve your goals in life. The government recognises this and, even in tough economic times, the College won a bid for funds to completely upgrade the Flackwell Heath facility to provide a modern, fresh, exciting environment for students current and future to study in.

Construction Skills Centre
The refurbished campus will have a specially designed Construction Skills centre in which students will study for qualifications in building trades including the implementation of an environmental technologies centre, the output of which will be used to power the College.

Refurbished facilities
Students studying health & social care, leadership & management, apprenticeships, Sport and public services subjects will be able to do so in a new environment. Students with learning difficulties will also enjoy newly refurbished facilities including a fully kitted out industrial kitchen for the catering elements of their courses. The tower block will be removed and replaced with a landscaped external space for staff and students to socialise and move between buildings.
Accessibility
Particular emphasis has been laid on accessibility for disabled students – the new campus offers complete accessibility for able bodied and disabled students alike in all interior and exterior spaces.
Safety and Security
Safety and security are also big features of the new campus, with improved fencing around the site and only two points of entry and exit: the main entrance and the Construction Skills centre (with swipe card entrance).
