Budding hairdressers, plumbers, construction workers, bookkeepers, accountants, teachers, counsellors, artists, photographers, fitness instructors and ‘green’ technology installers can get a head start in 2012 and boost their employment potential with a part-time course at Amersham & Wycombe College.  Enrolment takes place at an Open Evening on 10^th January from 5.30 – 8.30pm at Amersham & Flackwell Heath campuses.

The College’s part time courses appeal to a wide age group, so if you are looking to retrain through redundancy, are planning a career change, seeking new skills, or just want to try a leisure course, then Amersham & Wycombe College can help you achieve your objective.  

Typical of the courses available is the College’s five week bricklaying course starting in February which provides the knowledge to anyone who wants to cover basic techniques and carry out maintenance around the home or go onto further training for a career in construction.

Would be accountants might like to enrol on the part-time AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting course starting in February which is for accountancy support staff who wish to gain a professional qualification.

A ten week digital photography sampler starts in January offering weekly hands-on assignments, and typically covers, portraiture, still-life, lighting, location, composition, technical applications and working in the studio.  “It’s a great introductory course for anyone with a digital SLR who would like to explore their camera’s full potential for personal use or to start along the path towards a professional career,” says course tutor Danya Defraytus.”
